Men's ITF Competes At Washburn Rust Buster

For the first time since the Washburn Invite on December 3rd, the entirety of the Bluejay's Indoor Track and Field teams competed at Washburn University once again. The intentional and ironic named meet, the "Washburn Rust Buster," featured a number of competitive teams and Washburn's newer 200 meter banked track. Back to back meets at Washburn allows Tabor track athletes to see how they have improved in the last month and a half by getting a second shot in the Washburn-Indoor Athletic Facility.

Vance Shewey (SO/Meade, Kan.) continued his success in the high jump. Shewey improved his season best height by clearing 2.05m (6' 8.75") which also garnered him 1st place. Shewey is currently ranked 1st in the KCAC and tied for 3rd in the NAIA in the high jump.

Shewey also competed in the long jump, finishing 10th with a jump of 6.75m (22' 1.75"). Shewey was the top NAIA finisher, and his jump has him ranked 2nd in the KCAC in the long jump.
