Given that many donors choose to make a gift during the month of December, ESU Foundation Staff will be available on call Dec. 27 through 31, and the Sauder Alumni Center, 1500 Highland St., will be open on Dec. 27 and 28 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Alumni and friends may call the main line at Sauder Alumni Center at 620-341-5440 to reach a staff member who can accept their credit card gift over the phone or make an appointment to receive their gift in person. Staff can also provide information regarding stock transfers or wiring instructions. Donors may also visit emporia.edu/give to make a gift online.

To qualify as a 2022 donation for tax purposes, all gifts must be received before midnight on Dec. 31.

Last December the ESU Foundation received gifts from 62 organizations and 764 individual donors. Foundation President Shane Shivley explained, “Our local community and broader Hornet Nation have given generously to support ESU’s students through the pandemic and economic uncertainty. For the ESU Foundation staff, it is an honor to be able to help donors impact students’ lives.”
