Happy International Education Week! At Baker, students have the opportunity to take their education international (literally) and study abroad in a variety of locations around the world. Robin Madere, Ally Davis, and Jen Tidd recently studied in Copenhagen, Denmark, as a part of their Baker experience.
"Denmark emphasizes the importance of relaxation and self-care, which is where the term hygge comes from. We’ve taken this part of their culture and integrated it into our everyday lives. Through this experience abroad we were put in a situation where we had to fend for ourselves (food, transportation, etc.) which has allowed us to gain confidence in the world through our explorations of the space where our ancestors walked so many years ago."
