You Drink. You Drive. You Lose. campaign successful

During the You Drink. You Drive. You Lose. campaign just completed, El Dorado Police Department conducted overtime saturation patrols to aggressively enforce Kansas impaired driving laws.  During the campaign, officers made one impaired driving arrest, wrote eight speeding citations, and made 55 other citations and arrests.  A total of 49 vehicle stops were made during the campaign.

According to El Dorado Police Chief Mike Holton, “If you were stopped you hopefully learned from your experience.  You can count on this department to vigorously enforce impaired driving and other traffic laws, not just during this enforcement campaign but all through the year.  We enforce traffic laws because those laws help everyone with whom we share the road.

“We will continue to do so because, while the You Drink. You Drive. You Lose. campaign may be over; removing impaired drivers from our roads will continue.”

The You Drink. You Drive. You Lose. campaign was sponsored by the Kansas Department of Transportation.
